Our Story
East African Trading House (EATH) is Ethiopia’s foremost and widespread distribution and wholesaler of FMCG established in 1995 amalgamating 16PLCs that were in operation since 1998, whose sole mission was distributing the products of sister companies. The large network offers integration of group companies & co- owned outlets in Africa’s largest open-air market, the Addis Merkato, which is the heart of the country’s FMCG activity.
BESH GEBEYA is an authentic wholesale brand, offering a massive platform for consumers. Owned and administered by EATH, Besh Gebeya provides cash and carry service across our premium one-stop shops.
BESH FRESH works to bridge the gap between farmers and end users by sourcing directly from farmers and creating a seamless market linkage, enabling direct access to fresh produce at affordable prices, which is the anchor principle in BESH Gebeya, while empowering farmers to thrive economically and eliminate the risk of potential losses from intermediaries.
